Jose Luis Zamorano

Professor of Medicine and Chief of Cardiology

Jose L Zamorano is Professor of Medicine at the University Alcala de Henares, Madrid, and the Chief of Cardiology at the University Hospital Ramón y Cajal.

Prof Zamorano’s has a broad range of research interests including heart failure, ischaemic heart disease, cardiovascular risk factors and cardiovascular imaging modalities. Within these fields, Prof Zamorano he is widely published with over 500 articles and twenty books including the European Textbook of Cardiovascular Imaging.

Ralph von Bardeleben

Head of the Centre of Structural Heart Disease Interventions and the Heart Valve Centre

Prof Ralph Stephan von Bardeleben is the Head of the Center of Structural Heart Disease Interventions and the Heart Valve Center in Mainz, Germany 

Prof Bardeleben is Past-President of the German working group on Echocardiography of the German Society of Cardiology and a member of several medical societies. He serves on the Clinical Program commission and at your region program of the ESC and is a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. Newly elected co-editor-in-chief of Echocardiography Journal.

He participates as PI, steering committee member and core laboratory in several medical device trials, including a German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM)-approved first- or early-in-human medical device implant trials.

Davide Capodanno

Davide Capodanno

Professor of Cardiology and Interventional Cardiologist

Prof Capodanno is Professor of Cardiology at the University of Catania and Interventional Cardiologist at the Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria “Policlinico G. Rodolico-S. Marco”, Catania. He has authored more than 500 manuscripts, 5 textbooks of interventional cardiology and 17 textbook chapters, and he has delivered more than 200 invited lectures in international meetings.

Prof. Capodanno is Co-Director of the PCR Clinical Research Course and Associate Director of TCT. He is a member of the Working Group on Thrombosis of the ESC and a member of the Educative Solutions Research Group Programme of PCR. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Eurointervention, Associate Editor of the European Heart Journal, Section Editor of Thrombosis and Haemostasis and Editorial Consultant of JACC Cardiovascular Interventions.

Victoria Delgado

Victoria Delgado

Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Cardiology

Dr Victoria Delgado is a board certified cardiologist with specific expertise in multimodality imaging, Assistant professor of Cardiology at the Leiden University Medical Center. For the past 13 years, she has been actively performing research in the field of cardiac mechanics and underlying pathophysiological mechanisms of heart failure in various cardiac diseases, particularly in valvular heart disease and coronary artery disease.

Victoria has been board member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (councillor and chair of scientific documents), task force member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Guidelines, member of the ESC Guidelines committee and Congress Programme Committee and currently ESC board member. Furthermore, she is an associate editor of Circulation and Journal of American Society of Echocardiography.
