Dr Peix is a member of the National PhD Thesis Examining Committee for Clinical Medical Sciences at the University of Havana. She also serves as a member of the Governing Body of the Cuban Society of Cardiology, where she presides over the Nuclear Cardiology Section.
Dr Peix is an IAEA expert in nuclear cardiology and clinical coordinator for several regional and multi-centric IAEA research projects. Her main areas of research include women and ischemic heart disease, phase analysis, ischemia‐guided patient management and multimodality imaging in cardiology.
With more than 80 papers and chapters in the field of cardiology and cardiac imaging, Dr Peix is renowned for her expertise in nuclear cardiology and imaging.2
